Bowl, Spindle & Roughing
SPINDLE ROUGHING GOUGES
These roughing gouges are used for taking the corners off uneven and square stock, leaving it round and ready for further turning. They will also make initial shaping cuts removing waste quickly and efficiently.
Spindle gouges are used for detailed shaping between centres on parallel grain, particularly for concave curves. These spindle gouges can be used to create beads, coves and other profiles on vases, goblets, candle sticks and more shaped work.
These gouges are perfect for very fine point work between spindles.
Milled from round bar, these bowl gouges are created for making the best of turned bowls, for heavy profile cuts or for delicate feather cuts.
SPECIAL GRIND BOWL GOUGES
These bowl gouges feature the parabolic masterflute and are available with either a standard or fingergail grind.
The M42 ‘Stay Sharp’ range is hardened and triple tempered to improve both performance and wear resistance, meaning you spend less time grinding and more time turning.
